Under general supervision, performs routine but varied clerical and support duties according to standard procedures. Types and transcribes assignments such as business correspondence, forms, and reports. Compies information for reports, processess forms and documents, maintains records, works with figues, operates various office machines and may include direct contact with customers.
Worker characteristics are normally acquired through completion of a high school eduation, a minimum of 1 year general office or related Company experience. Written and verbal communication skill to proofread and edit routine forms, reports and business corresponsdence as well as explain Company policies and procedures and respond to routine inquiries. If job duties consist of a significant percent of typing assignment must have proficient typing skills. Able to transcribe from rough and Dictaphone machine and produce high-quality work that is accurate, complete and properly formatted. Generally knowledge of department procedures and operations to prepare, process, and complete assignments appropriately and maintain records. Able to file and retrieve items either alphabetically or numerically and possess knowledge of proper office procedures.
